Joe and Beth from Yorkshire came to VW Worx when they wanted to convert their silver 2015 VW T5.1 Transporter into a 4 berth camper. They had previously seen our Newquay design and wanted to put their own stamp on it.
The T5 was brought to us completely empty so we stripped it out, cut the openings for the roof and windows, double insulated, panelled and lined it. This vehicle is fitted with Barn doors which, although we glazed on the outside, we left blanked off and lined inside.
The camper was glazed, fitted with side bars, a slim-line pop top roof and a wind out Fiamma awning.
Inside the seats were finished in black leather with grey tartan inserts. The double passenger seat was fitted with a Rusty Lee swivel base.
In the cabin, the furniture was finished in 'Driftwood' lightweight ply and white sparkle gloss counter tops. The floor was lined in grey Altro vinyl.
The 'Rusty Lee' Rock'n'roll bed was also trimmed in black and tartan to match the front seats.
This model comes with a fridge, stainless steel sink and twin gas burner along with plenty of cupboard and drawer space.
At the rear there is a wardrobe, a vented gas store and the table mounts neatly to the inside of the rear door.
An external 240v inlet powers the Zig unit that controls the power to the mains sockets and the leisure battery. This camper is also fitted with USB outlets for charging electronic devices and plenty of LED lights.
