Neil and Tracey, from Nantwich, brought their 2016 short wheel base VW Crafter to VW Worx after suffering from a poor conversion experience at another specialist converter.
(Watch the full video at the bottom of this article.)
The old conversion had been ripped out by Neil as he really was not happy with it, despite having lost his money on it. When it arrived with us, the lining and insulation also had to be removed as it was not sufficient.
Once we had completely stripped it out, we re-insulated and lined it with grey 3 way stretch carpet and black alcantara panels. Units were designed to Neil and Tracey's specification and were cut and assembled in our own workshops by CNC before being assembled and finished by hand.
This camper was finished to a high specification and included hot and cold running water and a full Truma heating system that would heat the water and the van using either gas or electric.
Worktops were finished in grey Corian with draining grooves cut in and a custom VW Worx top to cover the sink when not in use.
As with all of our conversions, this camper made clever use of space with a massive amount of storage including a heavy duty vented drawer for the gas bottles, making them very accessible and easy to change.
This camper is particularly well lit, with colour change LED strips in the roof, day/night lighting under the cupboards, as well as LED lights to the kitchen and reading lights over the bed. We also fitted lights to the storage area under the bed and to the rear panel.
A clever use of space in this camper is that the bed is on gas struts and lifts up to reveal another full length of worktop so we're expecting great things from Neil and Tracey's culinary skills.
