Jon and Emily from Nantwich brought their 2014 T5.1 van to VW Worx for a full 'Retro' style conversion. The van arrived as a standard white panel van with barn doors to the rear.
They wanted the barn doors replaced with an opening tailgate and a two-tone paint job of powder blue to complement the white van. Changing barn doors to a tailgate is not as simple as it sounds as, not only do the old mounts need to be removed, there are also changes required to the wiring and system programming too.
This custom conversion is based around our 'Newquay' spec which means that it comes with the genuine VW California slimline aluminium pop-top roof. Inside, the units have been finished in a blue and oak combination and the upholstery trimmed with a grey and cream leatherette.
As with all Newquay conversions, this camper has all of the features that you would expect from a quality conversion. Features include plenty of 12v, 240v and USB power outlets, a kitchen fitted with fridge, sink and double gas burner, colour change LED lighting and plenty of storage.
Safety is very important to us and we always make sure that our campers are fitted with the highest quality fittings to ensure that it is as safe as possible for our customers. For that reason, this camper has been fitted with a TUV approved front swivel seat and Rock'n'roll bed from Rusty Lee.
