The video below shows the recent transformation of a 2016 Long Wheel Base VW T6 from a workers van into a bespoke camper.
The original ply panelling inside the van had protected the bodywork well, once removed, you could see how clean the actual van was.
This conversion was fitted out with plenty of cupboards top and bottom finished in two tone light grey and dark striped lightweight plywood that were CNC cut for the perfect fit.
We installed a genuine VW California sliding bed system which is solid, flexible and very comfortable. When slid all of the way to the front, the camper has a vast amount of luggage space, enough for any holiday and this seat also has Isofix points.
The front seats were re-trimmed in light grey leather and Alcantara to match the California bed system.
The double passenger seat was fitted with a swivel system to provide extra seating in the main cabin.
Countertops were finished in a pale Corian with a stainless sink and twin gas hob sunk into them.
A matching table that is stored on the tailgate can clip onto the rail system to provide a good sized dining area.
Other features include a good number of LED lights 240v plug sockets, USB outlets, a 'quilted' style brushed suede bed board with the VW logo embossed, a fridge, diesel heater and blackout blinds.
Externally, this camper was fitted with a slim line pop-top roof, new black alloy wheels, wheel arch and door protectors.
A Fiamma wind-out awning offers protection from the sun and light rain too.
