Nikki and Dan from Warrington brought their 2012 T5.1 run about to VW Worx to transform it into a home away from home. They wanted the full 'Worx'!
The interior was looking a bit tired and in need of brightening up. We started by stripping out the old seats, linings and hardboard panelling underneath. We removed a lot of old adhesive and cut out the roof ready for the new slimline pop top to be fitted.
We fitted a new diesel heater underneath the camper, feeding from the main fuel tank and venting just behind the drivers seat. With new insulation, plywood panelling, carpet lining and some heavy duty altro flooring, the camper began its transformation.
The seats were reupholstered with the latest T6.1 fabric and we made a custom unit from lightweight ply, on our CNC machine, finished in carbon grey and oak.
The slim-line roof has been fitted with our unique locking system to hold it securely when travelling, but quickly released when on site.
The VW Worx bed board has been finished in quilted headlining and incorporated 4 LED spotlights.
This camper has been fitted with a rib bed which folds down into a flat mattress for a comfortable nights sleep.
We have packed Nikki and Dan's camper full of features including a low voltage fridge, a sink, a diesel heater and loads of sockets and cupboard space!
The rear provides access to the wardrobe and vented gas storage. A fold down table finished in oak is stowed in the tailgate.
