Lee and Laura brought their brand new VW T6.1 van to VW Worx for a full conversion following a lengthy delay receiving it from the factory in Germany. Take a look at some of the features of this custom camper in the video below.
The camper was fitted with a genuine aluminium VW California pop-top roof system. Underneath, we mounted a Planar diesel heater and a space saving combination water and waste tank.
Inside, the camper was finished with white gloss units and polished grey Corian counter tops, all of the upholstery was finished in soft grey leather with diamond stitching.
The front captain seats swivel around to face into the cabin and a handy polished Corian table clips neatly to the near side door pillar.
The slimline units allow plenty of space to fit a 3 seater sliding rib-bed for maximum space and comfort. The seat folds flat to form a sleeping mattress.
When the seats are slid to their furthest forward position, there is a massive amount of space in the back to carry larger loads.
As you would expect from a VW Worx camper conversion, there are plenty of cupboards and clever storage spaces to maximise as much area as possible. The Corian counter top is cut and shaped to house a stainless sink with draining grooves neatly carved into the top.
There are plenty of other features including a low voltage fridge, gas oven and lots of 240v, 12v and USB power outlets throughout the camper.
All of the windows in the cabin are fitted with blackout blinds for privacy and a great nights sleep.
