Caravelle to Custom Camper

Watch the video below of us converting a 2019 VW T6 Caravelle to a luxury custom camper van. A lot of this video was filmed during a strong winter storm so there is limited external footage but we hope that you enjoy the conversion anyway.

This 2019 T6 Caravelle was brought in to VW Worx for a full conversion with requirements for a Pop-Top roof, California sliding bed system, full kitchen and heating. The first job was to remove the Caravelle interior.

Once removed, the inside of the vehicle was double insulated and ply lined before being finished in 3 way stretch carpet. The vehicle had the roof cut out and a pop-top frame fitted, wiring was run through ready for the electrics. The California sliding rail system was fitted before the floor was ply lined and trimmed with an Altro flooring. Underneath, water tanks and a diesel heater were installed.

Outside, the pop-top was fitted and the alloys wheels were sent away for refurbishment. A set of side running bars were also installed along with a Fiamma wind out awning with LED lighting for those dark nights.

Inside, this camper was finished with two tone grey furniture with oak tops and accents pieces. The upholstery was re-trimmed in black and grey leather with Bentley stitching and logos to the headrests. The bed board was finished in a quilted brushed suede with the unique VW Worx design.

This camper has plenty of LED lighting and power outlets throughout for 240v, 12v and USB connectivity. There are a large number of drawers and cupboards providing masses of storage. With the sliding California bed system, there is also plenty of cargo space when required too.

With it's underslung water tanks, as well as a sink, this camper benefits from a shower point to the rear too. The California bed system folds flat to give a comfortable nights sleep.

If you would like to find out more about this camper or would like to discuss your requirements, please give us a call on 01270 580000 and we would be happy to help.
