Neil and Tracie from Whitchurch brought their Peugeot Boxer to VW Worx for us to help them to complete their conversion project.
Before becoming ill a few years ago, Neil had started converting this 2012 Peugeot into his and Tracie's dream camper. The windows had been fitted and the inside had been fully insulated and lined and a laminate flooring had been put down.
The electric charging kit and fuse boxes had already been purchased and a lot of the cabling had been run through the van. However, since this work had taken place, Neil and Tracie had changed their mind about the design, so instead of a traditional rock and roll bed with a side kitchen unit, they decided to go for a kitchen behind the front seats and a seating area to the rear.
The team set to work to build a completely bespoke conversion for Neil and Tracie, you can watch the full conversion as it happened in the video below.
The units were finished in a white gloss lightweight ply with an oak finished interior and the worktops are a grey Corian with a built in draining board and splash back.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, hob, oven, grill and a countersunk stainless steel sink with hot and cold running water.
The upholstery on the seats and buddy seat was finished in black with a grey 'Bentley' style stitching. The seat backs can be used, along with the table, to make up a double bed at the rear.
