Karl and Gayna from Burnley are converting their own VW Transporter T5 into a camper van and wanted some high quality furniture and a safe rock and roll bed fitted. After doing their research, they came to VW Worx as they knew that we could take up their challenge.
When they brought their T5 to VW Worx, it had already got side windows, a pop top, carpet lining and some of the electrics had been fitted.
The list of cabinet requirements included a kitchen unit ready for them to fit their own sink, burner and fridge into, a top cupboard with reading lights to go above the new rock'n'roll bed, some new matching trim to go around the pop-top with LED down-lights in and a fold down table. VW Worx set to work building CNC cut, hand finished furniture!
Karl and Gayna chose 'Driftwood' as the finish to their furniture with a high quality 'Bone' coloured Corian worktop and splashback.
We fitted an M1 tested, TUV approved Rock and Roll bed from 'The Original VW "Rusty"Lee Rock & Roll beds' and trimmed it with black leatherette.
We also helped Karl and Gayna to connect up their electrics to make sure that everything was safe. They headed back up the M6 to empty their hallway of all of the bits that they had been collecting to finish off their conversion. We hope that they have many happy times away in it.
